Keeping children occupied and productive for three whole months can be challenging; deciding on a particular camp, even more so. Not only are there so many choices to choose from, there are also a lot of things a parent must take into consideration. If your child is ready for summer camp, here’s a guide to help you.

Dear Friends,
We need your help. Last week Kyle Crawford, a four year old boy at Serendipity Preschool in San Mateo, was diagnosed with aplastic anemia. He is now hospitalized at Stanford's Lucille Packard fighting for his life. This is happening so fast, but he and his family are desperate to find a bone marrow donor. If they don't find a match in the near future, Kyle will die.
The would-be-donor MUST be half Chinese and half Caucasian and at least 18 years of age. Those participating in the test will have a swab of saliva taken by medical professionals to determine compatibility with Kyle's genetic makeup.
Serendipity School will make a to-be-determined financial contribution for the testing or other medical fees. Kyle's parents have offered to absorb the balance, if any, of the $50 per applicant processing fee.
If you know anybody that might be interested, please contact the director of Serendipity. Her name is Patrice Warto and her e-mail address is:

As parents in our community, if there has ever been a time to come together and help save the life of a little boy, now is that time. With a heavy heart, please help spread the word to find a potential donor for Kyle.
I believe in the power of our community. Thanks!
-Please post this on your Facebook page and spread the word to your friends and family.
